Elmwood OSCAR has the exclusive use of a school classroom thanks to the generosity of Elmwood Normal School. We also have access to the school’s junior playground, the sand pit and the swimming pool in summer.
Timetable
Elmwood OSCAR runs from 3pm to 6pm every school day.
3:00 – Children arrive, roll call, track missing children, toilet, hands washed, afternoon tea.
3:30 – Outside play/homework supervision/art, crafts and games if it’s not a nice day outside
5.30 – Clean up and quiet activities
A multitude of games, toys and outdoors activities (inc. the school’s playground) are available for the children to have a great time inside or outside of the building.
Homework
Parents can request that their children do their homework at OSCAR. These children will be invited to sit with a carer who will supervise their work and provide assistance as required.
Fees
Term time fees are $18 per session for the first child and $15 per session for each additional sibling.
OSCAR Subsidy
Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy is a payment which helps families with
the costs of before-school and after-school programmes for up to 20 hours a week, and school holiday programmes for up to 50 hours a week. For more information please visit the Work and Income website
